Words are powerful. You have probably heard this before like I have.
I did not realize how powerful they really were until I started to study myself.
Study myself in a way that I have become an observer of my own self.
What I mean by this is really paying attention to how I react to circumstances out of my control, to what most of my thoughts and feelings are.
It was then that I realized that I kept putting my focus on everything else. I kept comparing myself to other moms.
Other mom entrepreneurs. Thinking they have better results than I do. They are better cut out for this than I am.
It’s no wonder I was not seeing the results I wanted.
I had to get real comfortable with embodying this new, updated version I truly desired to be.
It had nothing to do with me changing my appearance, or having more money, or having more friends.
Those were all limits I was putting on myself.
Limits I was using as excuses because I was afraid of going after my dreams.
I was afraid of change.
I was terrified of what people would think of me.
I was afraid of “losing” the success.
I had thoughts come up like, “What if this won’t last? What if you just got lucky this time?”
You see, those were all thoughts coming up because I was basing myself off of past experiences.
I kept on looking back and seeing that things didn’t work out how I wanted before, so what would be different this time?
When I started telling myself that the past does not define me and that I have learned so much from those experiences, I started to get different results.
Things started to work out with ease. Opportunities started coming to me without having to work so hard for them.
I started to say things like, “I AM so freaking powerful and I AM resilient. I AM smart. I AM confident and daring and bold. I AM everything that I choose to be.
So, it’s true. Your words are very powerful. They hold energy. And the things you say about yourself define how you carry yourself.
I dare you to be BOLD. I dare you to be CONFIDENT. I dare you to be the change that is necessary to live the life you truly desire.
I dare you to go after your dreams and change the narrative.
The truth is that you ARE capable. You just have to make the choice to BE different.
I AM is such a powerful statement. Use it wisely.
